Our client is a major mining company with various locations and operations in different regions. They manage over 3,000 employees and 12,000 contractor company workers. Each location or operation has its own database and sets different requirements, procedures, and controls for personnel access.

Challenge

Implement a solution to manage and control access for individuals (employees, contractors, subcontractors, visitors, and state officials) and vehicles across the company's multiple sites, establishing a single standard for workplace safety and health. The system must manage safety and health requirements such as active contracts, insurance policies, medical exams, courses, and inductions, among others. Additionally, it must sync with SAP and Meta4 and be able to operate both online and offline.

Solution

Deploying the Accreditation, Identification, and Access Control modules of 2Personnel® by developing automatic interfaces with SAP and Meta4 for data synchronization, 2D Barcode and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies to identify individuals and vehicles at various checkpoints. Portable terminals installed for mobile data capture during access control and registration of individuals and vehicles.

They have several sites nationwide, each with its own business rules and different server and communication infrastructures.

Challenge

Implement a system to automate and ensure compliance and validity of the access requirements set for each individual. This system will assist in managing and controlling people's access based on areas, shifts, and schedules, in addition to streamlining the creation and assignment of schedules. The system will integrate with the client's ERP for automatic payroll generation.

Solution

The Accreditation, Identification, Access Control, and Attendance Control modules of 2Personnel® implemented at three sites. Specific business rules defined and configured for each site, and designed and implemented an interface with the client's ERP.
